 spoolmate 100
i have a millermatic 200. i have figured out how to attach a spoolmate 100 to it w/o all the expensive parts. the mm200 is and older unit but it checks out good and all that ive read is its a good welder. question is has anyone used a spoolmate 100 to build a boat or do any extensive welding? ive heard they will melt down if put into any type of production work. i just want to play with alumnum and maybe some day attempt a boat. maybe fix mine if i rip a hole in it.
also if anyone is interested i have a millermatic 300 3 phase machine that i need to sell. great unit but i found out it was 3 phase after i got it. had it checked out and all is good. 2003 model

 Re: spoolmate 100
Building mine with a mm212 and a spoolmate 100. Upgraded the gun with a (HD nozzle kit) basically a spoolmate 250. Noticeable change. Better gas coverage, larger tips. part #'s are 195375, 196848 for the adapter and nozzle assembly. 199388 is for .035 tips. Only problems I've had so far has been the spool tensioner. It uses a rubber sleeve on the shaft and just doesnt seem to be consistent on my gun. I just loosen it up all the way and put a piece of cloth between the spool and spool cover and use the cover screw to apply pressure. The original tips for the spoolmate can be a pain to find locally when you're in a pinch. Hope this helps.

 Re: spoolmate 100
Newby here just joined in an attempt to get details from Hunt4Deer on how he hooked up his Spoolmate 100 to his Millermatic 200. I am looking to do the exact same thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
