Will be putchasing a 23 go devil surface drive soon, what would be the best boat to match the motor to get the best performance for a 2000 dollar budget

What will you be using the boat for? What will be a typical load? Where are you from? I would look in the classifieds here for a used mud hull 16' to 18' long and a 38" to 46" bottom for best all around performance in your budget.

Id wait and get a little more money together and get you a go devil boat to go with it.

not sure if it can be done for 2k but look for something along the lines of 16-1744 or 1840-42. My 1744 rig stock with 23hp would run 19 full hunt load with 2 guys 150, 220 a 75 lb lab 75 lb blind 5 dz deeks and other misc gear.
