?"s on building a boat yourself.
Im building the boat for a jet ski motor so it doesn't need to build a tank like most of yall are used to seeing. my buddy got a mig and a spool gun for welding but I was wondering if I could just rivet it with a regular hand riveter or does alumacraft and other brands use some kind of high compression riveter. Also wheres the best place to order sheet aluminum.

I have a friend that just finished one. I'd probably build it pretty stout, he hit a stick running pretty fast and peeled it open.

Rivets will only cause headaches down the road. Its a lot faster yo weld it than it is to drill a couple holes and out rivets in. Riveting the floor would be OK but those still loosen up over time

Spool gun. Tiig weld is too hard. Cracking problems.
