New to forum and mud motors
Just sold my 1648 lowe roughneck with 50 evinrude in hopes of upgrading to a mud rig. I have been doing research but figured y'all would know best. What would y'all recommend for around 8k. Would prefer 16-17ft and a 25-35 sd. Hull recommendations? Brand? Etc . Thanks in advance

search used. I've learned that 8K barely scratches the surface...no pun intended. I have 10K alone in my motor. A true mud hull is going to cost you as well. If you find good deals you might be able to "rig" something up that will work. 12K will probably get you into a nice entry level rig in that size.

This looks like it may be the perfect one for ya.... viewtopic.php?f=63&t=62404I'm not big on used stuff especially stuff like this that can be abused badly...but this fits your needs perfect from looking at your wants.
