Post Adding weight to bow
I have a 1854 cc 37efi gtr with a big blade and was averaging around 28 by myself. Hunting the other day had an extra person, hunting gear, and two man pirogue and was averaging 30mph. I suspect the speed increase is from the weight of the pirogue toward the front of the boat. I previously thought I needed more weight in the front so I added another 6 gal gas tank and I have two battery's up front but it still doesn't seem enough when I'm riding alone. Just wondering if there are any other ways I can add weight to the bow to get these speeds all the time.

Were you going down current for that 30mph?

I have the same rig and it likes weight mid boat- transom. As MSM asked could it be an environmental change. Did you hug a bank getting it shallower and help jump it higher on plane ect.

I have hrld 30 but it was light and shallow. But I can hold 28 with a similar load you spoke of with no problem.

How do you like that BB? Did you have an 11 or 10 pitch 3 blade?

With an 18x54 you shouldn't need to add weight to the front.

I got those speeds a few times with the pirogue in the boat so I don't think it was Bc of wind, etc. I'm certainly not complaining about the gained speed just trying to get that consistently when I don't have the pirogue. I have the 11p three blade and I'm really liking the big blade. Was just going to use it for hunting season but I might leave it on now
