I switched to two blade just to see how it ran. I did a lot of adjusting between blades and transom pin. Just to get best out of it. Think I'm back at original but think I'm gonna drop it one. Dropped it all the way down because my reverse kinda sucks. Not biting quite like it should.

It's definitely not the prop. I gotta try some things with the load. I'm gonna check the valves but I'm struggling to understand that it's the motor seeing how it will still turn 4400. It's almost like trying to push a barge. I can trim it damn near all the way up and not get the prop out. It just keeps driving the back end deeper into the water. It's not getting it up on top and then it just cavitates. It's the 34". I talked to chad and gotta try some things. I'm still gonna check the valves and stuff though. I'm a newb so maybe besides being overly loaded I'm just doing things wrong.

I'm beginning to think this post is a joke. Why in the hell would you want to trim your prop out of the water to get your boat on step? Are you reading what you are typing? If you trim it damn near all the way up it is going to drive the rear of the boat down that's just how it works. Then if the motor is trimmed up and it starts to climb over the hump it is gonna blow out.

My prop was not worn at all and killed it in under ten minutes this weekend in sand. That plus the load is probably the issue judging from rpms. Mine went from 4100 before the sand run and 4600 after. Lesson learned! Did you measure the prop?

Just measured the prop after I got home from vacation. It's 12 1/4 at widest point. Stock big blade.

I looked again at the load and how I was running it. I probably had 75% of the load in the front half of the boat. Gas tank, two batteries, 80 decoys, heaters, 1lb propane tanks, and one guy sitting 3 feet behind the deck. Only stuff in the back of the boat was me 140, another buddy 180, and my dog 50. And cranking battery 50. So I had about 6-700 lbs in the front half of the boat and only 350ish in the back. So one of two things. I got way too much weight up front or way too overloaded. It's probably a combo of both. I gotta lighten my hunting load no doubt.

Once again chad gave me some advice and talked me through my newb issues so I gotta follow through with that. I don't want to leave you guys hanging.

Most of your weight should be mid ship.
