Timber/Mud one man rig - LT or SD?
Looking to setup a small one or two man rig. Small thinking - no bigger than 10/28. Really like the pintail flat pirogues.
I was imagining the same kinda design before I found the old thread. I just thought I'd see what y'alls thoughts were on SD or LT for a small engine rig? My thoughts were having a light one man rig (that would go) would be handy because in most cases im doing my scouting on my own. Mostly thick mucky cypress timbers, or hard bottom oak timbers. I thought the one man rig could save some hiking time on scout trips. Pretty versatile hunter, anywhere within 400 or 500 miles of DFW so kindof hard to narrow down one specific type of terrain, really mostly timber, but was really thinking this rig would be improvised the most in the thicker shit like some timbers or bad mud flats.
7 hp Copperhead SD or small LT motor (GD or Backwater)?
Also anybody know how hard it is to find aftermarket stuff for the smaller single cylinder motors?

It's pretty easy to find smaller engine performance parts because of the go kart market. All brands.
I'd probably go with a small SD. In those small boats space counts and the SD handle will let you sit further back and have more room to maneuver.
