Tall transom motor, short transom boat?
Anybody ever do this?
Im currently running a 36pd tall transom motor on my short transom boat. The boat works ok but i think theres a lot of drag being created with the motor that low. Im compensating by trimming up but that changes the angle of thrust. Im considering having my transom built up to fix the issue. Right now with the motor trimmed all the way up, the skeg is still below the bottom of the hull.
Any thoughts?

Match boat and motor, you'll notice.

You're wasting your time running it like that. Build up your transom. I've done it tons of times. There's a reason you need a tall transom boat for a tall transom motor. And short transom boat for short transom motor.
