 Floor removal
I have a lowe 1752 Roughneck and i want to remove the floor to take out the wet foam. i am having a problem trying to figure out how to remove the floor and the panels that line the gunwall. i was wondering if anyone here has done it before or has any tips on how to do it the most painless way if there is any. thanks in advance

 Re: Floor removal
Is the floor riveted, crimped, or welded in?

 Re: Floor removal
the floor is riveted in and the side panels are riveted at the middle and bottom and welded at the top in three spots. i tried to drill the rivets out in one of the side panels but am having a hard time drilling them out compared to other rivets that i have done in the past

 Re: Floor removal
What msm said. Your bit must be dull. Drilling them out should be quick and easy. Then hit the welds with a grinder.

 Re: Floor removal
the bit set i have it new, the problem is these rivets still have part of the shaft sticking out that normally breaks off and leaves the indent

 Re: Floor removal
Tip them with a punch then drill it out. They aren't hard to drill out until you break a bit off in one so be careful.

 Re: Floor removal
What rooster said. I had to do that with a few. If that doesn't work (which it should) hit them with the grinder.

No with work and family stuff I never got around to pulling it. I will more than likely do it after this season ends
