Looks like a nice little fishing skiff. Saw one with a gator tail on it. Have any of yall seen one in person?

I can't say that I have seen those, but I have seen similar fiberglass hulls around Pointe Aux Chenes that are manufactured in Florida. It made me want one bad, but besides the poling, height advantage, and maybe the v style hull for a smoother ride in rough water, we can pretty much do everything with our hulls that they can and more.

It would make a nice addition just to have one.

Drove one 23 miles at caddo this year with a backwater 37 on it. Jake or arlon's sons make them. Nice boat. Ran well and survived the stumps. Have no flats experience in one, though

Fine fine boats. I'd own one for damn sure. If you were a fella that lived for sight fishing hard to reach fish, this would be the boat to own.

That's the one I saw above.

I'd love to have one for fishing with a 70 yamaha tiller

I doubt it would handle the weight of a prodrive.

With the longtail, we were definitely past 20 with 2 in the boat and a big yeti, and me and arlon aren't tiny. Plenty of witnesses that we weren't getting left behind by all those SDs.

I can't speak to the transom, but it is definitely a well built boat, and those guys are good, honest dudes. I've considered one, just want something with more width for where i fish and the type of fishing I do mostly.

Looks similar to the ones Flip Pallot builds down here in Florida. Hells bay.

There are several technical poling skiff manufacturers down here that were heavily influenced by the Hells Bay hull. A couple are damn near identical. The Beavertail skiff is one for sure.

If I was rich I'd get a hells bay or maverick but they are around 50k for a 18ft boat

Hell... a 24 ft Yellowfin with upper controls is upwards of $120,000. Crazy!!!!

My dad recently bought a Bluewater 180 and it was $45,000.

It is built in the same industrial block as Maverick and Billfish Boatworks in Ft. Pierce, Fl.

Didn't Mark Fisher leave Beavertail and start a skiff line in Florida?

He started Beavertail Skiff and sold the company once it was established.

I ran into the guy at a gas station in Okeechobee. He was eyeballing my rig. We got to bullshitting and the guy has a house in Jupiter and a farm in the Dakotas. He has never duck hunted in Florida, he only fishes here. He does a majority of his hunting in the Dakotas. He showed me some pics and video... he has the greenheads stacked on his place.
