Just gona add to this to show how great floatation foam is in a duck boat. At least if it had sank without foam I would likely be able to get it back. Hopefully the damage isn't too bad but it has gotten into the stringer on this side. Just hoping my boat isn't scrap metal at this point.

Just put a piece of flat bar or some 1/8 sheet or something on top and fill it in on the bottom. It'll be fine.

Well I believe I got him fixed up. Ive never seen this happen to a boat before. It seemed that it was everywhere there was a carpeted bunk. No BS It ran 5-6 ft up from the transom. I ended up welding a piece of plate onto the bottom. It was not fun trying to weld it up either. Hopefully it won't leak anymore! Get that carpet off the bunks ASAP!
