Sponsored? No. Highly favored? Of course they have reverse! Gator trax builds a fine boat. I was going to buy one but no flotation in em so I went with excel. Bud of mine has a 15 footer with hunt deck. Loves it besides one thing. He really wishes he woulda went with a 17 footer with huntdeck |

I've got a 1750HD Gator Trax this will be my third season with it. Great boat and easy people to deal with! Oh and you can get all the flotatation you want, just depends on which model you get. No dislikes, I use mine for deer hunting more than duck hunting, also like to catch a few sacalait. It was nice to be able to customize it exactly the way I wanted it. I would buy another but I'm quite satisfied with what I have |

You won't find many people who have much bad to say about Gator Trax boats (especially if they've owned one). They build a top quality boat and will customize to your liking. The only thing you get on here is a difference of opinion on whether round chines or square chines is best. Gator Trax builds round chines only. That's the main thing people on here take sides over. Nobody questions whether they are well built. |

I have a 1750HD also and this will be my second season with it. Coming from a Grizzly Tracker to the Gator Trax, the difference between them has been astonishing. The boat is built like a tank and turns like it's on rails. I was able to customize mine exactly to my liking and the thing carries a load perfectly. They're aren't cheap but the quality is there. |

That is a GREAT looking rig! To me, Gator Trax builds the best looking mud boat in the business and the 1750 HD is among the best of them. I almost bought one last season but have now decided to go with something lightweight since the places I am likely to get stuck there won't be anybody to help me. I'm going to start with a boat that two of us can manhandle until I learn my way around better ![]() |

If I were to buy a production rig I would seriously consider Gator Trax. But there are a bunch of good customer builders on this site that can build you one to your specs and much cheaper than what your looking at. Just another thought. Russ |

I think the gator trax boats are nice... theres only one thing that really sticks out to me that should be changed and thats the cross member bracing above the deck... I really can't understand, besides it being quicker, why they do that... structuraly it can be place below and produce the same strength.. instead they put it above the deck and it makes a tripping hazard... just my opinion.. i would own one if I didn't know how to build a boat myself..they are nice...just sooooooo much cheaper to build one yourself.. like thousands cheaper (not an exageration) |

I could see how the regular braces could be a problem and that's why I ordered mine with vertical braces. Mine don't angle in to the boat at all and have never been a problem. |

Hey Redleg, you get you one of the square chine boats and whatever motor you want and when you see a red-faced fat man at the local hotspot near you this season in a Gator trax / Mud buddy...you may as well back out of that square. Try to run w/ my round chine and you will have to let off or bounce that bitch off a cypress tree. I ain't telling you what I heard, I'm tellin you what I know!!! ![]() |
