 New boat
I want to by a new boat and put a mud buddy motor on it. I amconcidering a17' boat and I am not opposed to a custom boat. I have seen gator trax excel uncle js. I will be fishing and hunting the coastal marsh area.

I've had two 17' boats-- one Triton 1756DS-35GT and one Excel 1751-4500BD. Loved the Excel for mobility and fast plane. Triton had a lot of room but wouldn't plane well when loaded with that motor. Triton would run 32 mph with two people and the Excel around 30 mph loaded or unload. I may be going back to a Triton with a bigger motor next year.
