Picked up this boat today- its a 1976 15x44. All 1/8, smooth bottom. I pulled out over 200 lbs of water logged flotation. Gonna get a hunt deck added just like my other boat and paint it. Got it with papers for 400.

You can't beat that with a stick, but that ugly mofo needs some TLC.

I'm sure you have that under control though.

Beings that it is a (project) boat, are you going to allow less fortunate colored people live in it?

Old 1/8 smooth bottom boat with water logged foam. Could be a old godevil prototype. :D

if that was a GD prototype boat , u gonna need to save all that old foam when u call them for a paint code.Them folks over there are pretty anal about us outsiders trying to weasel our way in to the go- devil mafia.

Looks like the sides taper towards the center. What degree transom angle did y'all go with?

Post subject:  Re: Project boat!

the hunt deck looks like it taper in toward the transom

Post subject:  Project boat!

It does taper in toward motor.

Author:  UNCLE-J [ Sun Feb 05, 2012 6:08 pm ]
Post subject:  Project boat!

I hope it doesn't affect the running of the boat. With the minimizing of the bottom width due to tapering in, it may make boat squat when trying to take off. Meaning, it's going to be drawing more water than normal.

Some of the excel huntdecks are tapered, so I think it will be ok.

Post subject:  Project boat!

I'm sure it will be fine with all that HP u got rod
