My primary objective is boat layout, endurance, and efficiency. Can you add anything to this ? Boat specs 1. 1754 w/ hunt deck 3/16” 2. Want a fast boat 3. Stable for 3 big guys 250-300# 4. 100% Open design 5. 21” sides Questions 1. Do they make the sides with a chime, single, double etc. 2. Does that make a difference 3. Should I go up or down in size/width for better speed, stability 4. Do they have 3 layers i.e. bottom 3/16, supports, top deck ?? 5. Alternative is the GT boat 6. Is this a good boat (Uncle Jays) Thank you. |

X2 on the search feature, also check out the boat review section, you may have to go a few pages over or go through them all. There are several uncle j reviews on there. |

I’m pumped about getting this boat. Spoke to J today but he was on the water. Sent him emails also trying to define the boat layout and details. Just don’t want to screw it up on a custom build. I will use the search engine as suggested also but keep answers flowing. I want to get it right before duck season. Thank you all. |

Rudy, look at your other posts and my last response. Remember, we do not have a lot of mud, or beaver dams, or flooded timber- mostly hard bottom and little water (this past year was a high level season). I definitely agreee open floor plan- forget all those gun boxes or extended decks- the hunt deck is a great idea for preventing backwash, adding flotation, and as a on/off platform for big dudes in waders or as a dog platform- great place to pee off of too! Bottom line: take a trip to Louisiana- it is worth it! |

Uncle J will build you a dang good boat. He built me exactly what I was wanting regarding floor plan and layout. Sent using Morse Code from my not so smart phone. |

Slightly narrower, not as much front deck, maybe no catwalks, maybe shorter sides, and adding an extra longitude runner. |

Rudy, Last April I bought an Uncle J 1752 tapered chine, 3/16 hull, two extra longitudinal chines, .125 everywhere else, hunt deck, 5' front deck, 7' rod box and 3 storage boxes. It has a 24V MinnKota & 12 gallon gas tank and 2 trolling motor batteries up front under the deck. Engine is a 35GTR with a Calen stage 1. Boat will run 28.9 with me in it, 500 lbs more and it still runs 26.2. All deep water speeds. Love the boat, got very good results with Jay. I had to redo a little trolling motor wiring but no big deal. Overall very pleased. PM me if you want to talk more. Curl |
