Yall ever used anything on the inside of your storage boxes. Something like a rubberized paint, that would help with the rattling and noise of stuff bouncing around. I have some scrap carpet I could put in, but would like to find something durable and perfablly a paint type product.

Thanks

I used it on the inside of the toolbox on my truck and wish I wouldn't have. It peels and comes off on stuff that I put I there.

It also did no help much with noise. I used rubberized spray from Home Depot. Possibly a different brand might do better but I still don't suggest it

I put the scrap hydroturf in the bottoms of mine, the sears foam would work great and cheap!

Anyone ever used a commercial grade roofing compound? I wonder how it would stick to bare Al? I want to do the bottom and sides of the boxes. HT is too damn expensive to line the boxes with!

If you put it to bare alum you will Ned to etch it with something. Muratic acid or clean it well with degreaser.

I used the rubber/foam shelving/drawer liner from menards with waterproof spray adhesive. clean surface with acetone, spray adhesive and then apply the cut roll to interior. I used it on the exterior bottom of my removable gun box in my phowler jon boat to keep it from rattling when no one is sitting on it. real quiet now.

Get you some industrial adhesive that you can roll into your boxes. Prior to doing that buy some replacement auto carpet from Wal marts or local auto shop. Cut to fit boxes. Keeps everything quiet when moving and doesn't chip, or rub off onto items that you place in box. Being auto grade it can stand up to some water and mud or dirt on it. Just wipe it clean or soak up spills with a towel and dont worry about it.
