How do y'all deploy your trolling motor with a light bar mounted directly to the front deck. Pete is building me a removable one similar to this but I still want to be able to use my trolling motor which will be a power drive v2. Any ideas? |

I'm not building a platform. My lights will be removable but mount directly into the front deck. |

You may have to get Pete to put you a piece of plate on the front corner of your light bar to mount your trolling motor to when you are using the lights |

I'm not 100% sure but I think the minn Kota power drive v2 extends almost all the way forward before it lifts too high in the air. That way just the head of the TM needs to clear the bar. |

Sorry, don't have any pics with the TM on, but yes, a gap in the rail ImageUploadedByTapatalk1381689480.378053.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1381689507.421915.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1381689534.038397.jpg |

The GT rail is in 3 sections. If you need your TM, just swing out the front section and deploy and place the rail back. It's much easier to deal with taking the rails off the boat by yourself. |

My light rail is all in one piece. And if I read correctly, a troller won't fit with the light rail on? Is this correct? I guess I don't care if I have to leave it deployed out and just run it up high when I motor, but have any of the gatortail owners got an easy solution to this? |

Bump, nobody has an answer if you can run a troller with the light bars from Gator Tail? |

Don't take this as a smart ass response bc i don't mean it that way. It seems to me that if they can build a custom boat, they should be able to build a custom light bar to fit a troller. |

Update. The gatortail rails work ok with the trolling motor I bought. It doesn't tip back, but a minnkota Powerdrive V2 pupils straight up and locks into place. Problem solved for me. It's a pain that you have to put on the troller and then the light bar, but at least everything functions. I'd consider taking the troller off for a long pull. |
