I had the same boat for several years. I ran a 35 mb hyper drive. I ended up moving everything up front. Ie: gas tank battery etc. if I didn't do this I was taking serious amounts of water over the transom. Fact is i sunk the bastard. Once I moved the gas tank up front it was a little better but really changed the performance after moving the battery under the front deck as far as I could move it. I could run deep water speed of 27 mph consistantly. 28.4 max mph. I added gator glide this year and it even a bit better. Once I figured out where to put everything it was a pretty good boat. My motor is a 35 Briggs with mikuni and duals. |

I have a 1754 but same boat otherwise. I cut the rear seat to make it possible to drive standing up, added a grab bar and am pretty happy with result. will get a couple pics up for u tomorrow Sent from my iPhone using 2 somewhere in the swamp |

Its actually all aluminum and it goes to the front of the boat and runs my anchor. I wanted to be able to control the anchor from the back of the boat. anchorwizard.com Sent from my iPhone using 2 somewhere in the swamp |
