Ive been back and forth on the idea. And i started gathering my materials last week. Prolly wont atart till after the holidays. Big help from north la hunter, and cr244. Thanks guys for walkin me through all the basics i think i got it. Ive drawn up a lil sketch just wanna know what yall think and if im headed in the right direction with this idea. Basics: 1846/1848 still unsure. 1 piece hull with sport crimps 1/8th. 21" sides. 6'6" rake. (5) 2x2 long runners. 1/8th fully welded floor. (2) 2x2 cross braces on top of that. 4' extended deck. Removable gun box, seat/storage in the back. Hunt deck with 22 degree transom with a 3" rake on the bottom. winch mount. 3" front bumper. Stock 35 GTR. Thoughts, comments, concerns. Or just start building. Thanks in advanced. |

I had and 18x46 but if i did it again i'd probably do a 48 just for a little better load carrying. The 46" is nice for running skinny ditches but whats another inch on each side of the boat when running trails and you can carry a load a little better. |

A shop guy at Gatortail told me in between 20* and 22* would be fine. I guess I just wrote down 22* and that's what I told him. I did my last one 20* come to think of it. Sent from my beeper. |

My GTB is on a 23* transom angle. It does well but I believe I could get a little more speed if it was on a 20* angle with a half inch or so taken off the transom height. Pm mudcat he has an 1846/44 and could tell you pros on cons off it. Sent from my iPhone using |

Id like for it to come to a narrow front end, similar to a gator trax. I just think it looks better IMO. Plus makes for better timber runs. |
