Does anyone have pictures of the difference between these two crimps? Gonna get me one of those there mud hulls built here shortly and not sure the difference? Boat will be a 1750 with a beam between 63-65 inches and a narrow front (25"). Due to the timber. Dfou is doing the work for me just wondering the difference, and he recommends the V with a double taper and it should turn well and handle well.

I think the faded v looks best. I've had v and performance. I can't tell much difference but I think one time brother Breaux told me he thought the v was stronger.

I agree with the fade/performance crimp, but dfou said that the narrow beam that I want would be easier with the v crimp.

How tall are the sides going to be. Thats a really narrow beam, gonna look like a box.

IDK, you can look at mine though when you pick up the motor. Its a V crimp with a 68" beam on a 48" bottom. My boat with the performance crimp had a 70" beam on a 48" bottom.

OK cool, yeah he said it should be fine at about 64 or so. And sides will be 20-22"

The only boat I road in with the spuds through the hunt deck like that had water shooting up those holes and into the inside of the boat some. If you were sitting on the back seat, your back would get wet.

that suxx. ill just get wet or stick a rag in them LOL. the pipe welded on the back works fine it just dont look good to me. lots of boats are built with nice shape and style and that damn pipe sticking off the back looks like a sore dick.LOL
