I was going the custom route and having a 1746 built. My builder hasn't started my boat yet and a buddy just called me with a deal on a 1644 gd hull that i feel like I would be dumb to pass up. If I do this, I will have a huntdeck added. I know there are other threads started about this, but would those of you who have added an aftermarket huntdeck mind sending me a pm with what it cost you?

Things to think about adding a hunt deck to a go devil hull. Gonna be hard to match up the round chine bottom. You need to tie the stringers a pretty good ways back into the stern floor. Also, you have to deal with tying it in to the cutback in the transom. In my opinion, this would not be a good way to spend 600-1000 dollars. There is no real performance benefit to a hunt deck and there is a risk of screwing up the performance or structural rear (hanging a 250 lb motor on the back). I had a gd 16-44 and did a lot of research on it. Glad I didn't go that route with that hull, it was really nice just the way it was.

Round chines would be a pain to match up. Could be done though

pm CaptJJ he can fix you up. you can use a brake also. my hull has 9 brakes 3/4'' apart and you cant tell it from a round chine.

if the deal is right, buy it, flit it for some coin and use it towards you new hull.

I am probably gonna end up having my custom built but I'm going to look at the godevil and if it is in near perfect shape I'll have to scoop it up. If i do get it I'll Try it out, and if I don't like it in the first few hours of use I'll sell it.

nasty if i were adding a h.deck for myself i would cut it into the boat. if you could see my hull i believe you would agree it will match a round with no issues.

Take a pic. I'm not saying I don't believe you. I'm saying it's gonna be difficult to match it up perfectly
