Boomer call Chad @ Prodigy he can hook you up with your LEDs he uses on his boats. I'd go look at mine and tell you what brand they are but it's still trapped In Storage with 5' of snow in front of the door.

If you use Google for your search...and start the search string with mudmotortalk.com, you will get much better results than the MMT search feature.

I went with "mudmotortalk.com LED strip lights" and got a lot of info on the subject.

But, for the most part, you can get the adhesive strip light rolls and connectors off Ebay. Cut the light strips into the lengths you want, wire them together with the connectors; and you're good to go.

I get all of mine from superbrightleds.com. I always get the WFL-x strips! That backing will stick to anything as long as you wipe with rubbing alcohol first and never had them come off. I always used red. Already got a 16ft roll waiting for my new boat I haven't even ordered yet!!

I like red. The ones I posted are over priced by 100 bucks. Search for "led strip light waterproof" in ebay. I paid 35 bucks to do my entire boat.

red is easier on the eyes! You can drive at night with them on. That is why military sticks to red and low filter green and not the bright green

I heard green is easier on night vision, but may be wrong. I have green and love em, mine are every six inches

Low filter green is but the bright green that the LEDs are is not, you can look directly at red and then back up in the night while running and have minimal to no sight adjustment issues whereas with green you can have what I call depth blackout, where you can't see past where the green light may shine

Boomer mine are strip LEDs that fasten with screws or zip ties. Adhesive just doesn't seem to work up here. Gets to damn cold and the adhesive fails and everything is hanging after winter storage. Hell down by y'all it probably bakes the damn adhesive like an oven. Lol rivets, screws or zip ties are the only thing that holds up to the extreme cold temps.

Supposedly green works well for that and honestly I can't remember about my red ones in the last boat! I don't think they attracted them

I like the red that I have been around. I had white and blue lights in pontoon boats and i hated both of them. For 1 they were so bright you couldn't see outside the boat and two you couldn't sit still with the on because of the Mosquitos. I think the red would be the best. Do the eBay ones last? I don't wanna get any no matter what the cost if I have to replace them every couple of months!

Red light is definitely better on the eyes for night vision. In the Marines all of our lights had red filters. With that being said my boat will have green lights. I will see how I like them.

That green does look pretty bad ass though... It just seems so much brighter than the boat with the red lights

Boomer, I got some leds from BoatDr that were very nice. I went with white as I only wanted to have them for getting stuff ready before the hunt. I don't plan to run with them on. To me, red looks good as far as not interfering with your night vision. Marines wouldn't do this if something else works better.
