It gets hard holding the spotlight in one hand and trying to drive with the other I've never seen a light bar in action

My 20" bar is plenty bright..... got it on eBay for 90 bucks. I hate hard hat lights especially if I'm not wearing it.....ever time you say something to someone wearing one, they look at you, blinding you for the rest of the morning.....

Yeah know how you feel there I'm pretty picky on who I bring on the river with me at night I let them use the spotlight and some of them shine everything except in front of the boat

Plashlight .. Half the price of Rigid and made by same company

Post subject:  Re: Led light bars

Mine has same frame as rigid..... The difference is in the focusing reflectors. ... rigid are bad ass and will out perform any of the others the same size... you can always look at the single row 10w leds. ... they really shine.

That dot down there between those trees is my wife, if that gives you an idea of range.

Cree 20" spot/flood combo. $150 on ebay

Post subject:  Re: Led light bars

We uses the Baja 10" bars. We have them made for us with 30 degree driving lights on the outsides and high output spots in center. They are not cheep, but they are compact and they have the best housing of anything out there, you can drive over it with your truck and it won't break. 8000 lums and they are set up perfect for a boat.

They also are programed with a highbeam, lowbeam and strobe mode, the strobe is really nice when someone tries to creep in on you in the dark, it will knock their eyeball out!

I got the flood combo from xkglow and have had 0 complaints. Plenty bright enough for me to save my spot light for the rest of the year.

Any of these real good in the fog I know it may sound dumb but sometimes when it's foggy and it ain't super thick I can still see with my spotlight

Oh, and many brands use CREE bulbs, it's the reflector that makes a difference and why they patent their own designs....

Post subject:  Re: Led light bars

. I had all these on while I was frogging and it worked great plus I had my coon light hard hat with the led light bulb which was super bright then during duck season I had the one on in the middle with the remote and my buddy busted it and my spotlight was way brighter than led plus it didn't do so good in foggy weather

I'm looking to spend $300 on lights. I was thinking either 2 rigid Dually D2's or a mid level 20" spot/flood led bar. What would you guys recommend?

Post subject:  Re: Led light bars

But I will say I've been running a Cree led knock off brand and for the price I can't see paying the rigid price especially when I there is a company that give the same warranty as rigid

Author:  calphil [ Tue Feb 25, 2014 10:24 am ]
Post subject:  Re: Led light bars

I won't ever pay for a Rigid ... When I can't get something of same quality and warranty ..

And I can drive about 1 hour south of me and pick them up from Plashlight direct

Offroden has the 12" bar for 100$ right now. 5760 lumans is good for a bar that small. Im leaning that direction. Gotta have more light on the rvr. Chris how many lumans on the one on your boat?
