See I don't want my cross beams on the floor and putting them in between the stringers will leave a small area for the water to pass under the cross beam in the gutter.[Will plug up with trash] I built me a 18x60 flat for a 115 Yamaha in 2010 and the floor is open and welded to the sides. I like it but would like the thrash and water directly into the gutter. I have time to decide. catwalks for strength maybe, sure not to walk on for this old man. starting to fall on flat ground.

Got my material last Tuesday and started Saturday and did some work today. Did revise the chine to a square chine and went with a hunt deck.

Are yall keeping the sides straight until you start pulling them in towards the bow?

Looks like you are moving right along!

Just a couple questions if you don't mind. I haven't called Peirce Aluminum since I'm in no position to do a build yet, but when you put in your order, what all information do you have to give them to have the sheet metal bent up? Do you just give them the dimensions of what you are building and tell them you want a "sport crimp and triple broke chine" or do you have to give them a spec sheet with every angle you want and where you want it? I know these are all custom boats, but if they know the final dimensions of the boat I'd think that stuff would be pretty standard, isn't it? Reason I ask is I've never built one before and don't want to try reinventing the wheel if I don't have to, I also don't have the money to be experimenting on $1500 sheets of aluminum either!

you just dicuss your material list and what you want, complete cost is more like $2200-$2400.

What is the measurement of the space in between the 4" channels on the transom. looks to be about 3' is that right?

All my infor came from GatorTail, Prodrive, Gator Trax, and from builders on this web site. Also Frank at Piecre Aluninum in Lafayette. I built afew boats in the pass but were for outboard motors.

Quick question.. How far do you start pulling for your rake? I've heard from 5-7 feet. I want a rake like that.
Thanks
