My CC prodrive has the trim switch located on the dash in front of the binnacle which isn't the easiest to operate the throttle and trim at the same time. Has anyone ever installed a top mount binnacle that has the trim switch located on the handle? Current setup: Like this: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

To my knowledge, nobody makes a box with throttle only that has a trim switch built into the handle. On the binnacle box in your second pic, about 1/2 the travel of the throttle lever/handle is for throttle and the other 1/2 of travel for shift (for an outboard). So, if you dont mind having a "dead spot" when you move the handle back and forth (because you wont be using the shift capabilies of that box), then yes it will work just fine. |

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it will throttle up as you move the handle all the way back also.. |

I looked into one for mine and found one that only has forward like the ones we got and has trim built in but was $350 compared to the $50 throttle we have |

I didn't know if there was a cost effective option. Guess I'm on to the drawing board to see what I can come up with Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

We talked about working something up. Where the plate screws to top of throttle put switch in it. |

I just looked at the pictures, closer. Looks like the Sport V doesn't have the electric clutch. So, the control probably works/acts just like the outboard control. Center neutral, reverse back, forward front. Two cables; one for shifting, one for throttle. |

Had to bring this up again. Gatortail is using a binnacle with forward reverse and the trim switch on the new 37efi cc rigs. Is it the same for a stock 35 carbed and what brand is it? Looks like a mercury unit anyone know which make, mottle etc.. ? |

For around $30(Bass Pro Shop) you can add a floor switch to your trim circuit, my biggest problem is remembering that it is there. but it does free up your hands 1 for steering, 1 for throttle and right foot for trim!!! |
