I started my boat overhaul today and figured I would try to get a hook out of the bottom first. I pulled the back floor out and removed the foam. Then I did the same on the front and saw that there was no foam at all. Yall think that is why I have a hook up front? It's between the two middle runners. BTW. I'm the second owner. I know the guy who had it before me didn't pull it out. |

I called Coco about replacing the foam in the rear portion of my floor and he told me they don't put foam in the front floor because the front deck foam is plenty to keep the front level if the boat takes on water. Its only in the rear floor to help with the extra engine weight. He also said that the foam has nothing to do with support of the floor or the bottom. |

Swollen foam syndrome = busted rivets IMO the foam would offer some integrity to the hull Being you can only compress it so much . |

The foam in those .80 Jon boats help with support. I highly doubt that a boat with .125 thickness needs it. I wonder what caused it to hook. Hit something? |

Try to put that .050 ga. Flooring (or so it seems) back in without the foam or adding flat bar for support. It definitely adds support to the floor. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk |
