I have a pretty good idea drawn up to build a hull my self. I work for a hvac contractor and am able to get all of the material at cost. the only thing im not sure about is how to bend hte square tubing for the stringers to give the boat that roll to the nose. Im planning on using 1-1/2" by probably 3/4" square tubing. if anyone has any suggestions or could help me out on this that would be great. |

You can cut slits, or get you a roller from harbor freight. |

what about going with 1-1/2" sch 40 aluminum pipe as stringers? any idea if that would be better than 1-1/2 x 3/4 square |

dis regard the pipe question i just thought of how difficult that would be to weld. does 1-1/2" x 3/4" square sound like the right material for the stringers? |

I used the back tire on my tractor when I made all my hoop nets. You can use just about anything to bend it just take it slow and don't be in a rush. |

I've also seen uncle J hulls where the longitudinal stringers stopped where the rake began. and from the rake to the nose he ran stringers horizontally (left to right). Not the best, but it could work |

Plate rolls are the best thing. I weld my braces together and roll all of them at the same time. Sent from my beeper |

I used a tubing roller. Rolled my hat section in it. Took about 20 min to roll all of mine. |
