Painting a bare hull. Let me get this right. An alumbrite wash down. With a zink chromate primer. Then paint? Have any of you used the chromate spray cans? How do they work compared through a gun? I just want to make sure i have this right before i do all of this. Worst case scenario, bring to ricky and let him work his magic. |

Zinc Chromate is pretty easy to work. You can brush, roll, or spray it on with pretty much equal results. I've used it in a spray can for small projects, but I would hate to try to do an entire hull with it. |

http://www.ipaint.us/maac701ga.html I like to use this as primer, Acid wash, little sanding with a 80 grit pad and spray/roll this on. It doesn't come off "PERIOD". |
