That would def help if u could get that up there! Even if u had to swap to a different size/style tank

Deff. Move those two items up front as far as possible. I did that on my old rig and I was an entirely different boat as far as handling and performance. I put the battery right in the center of the bow under the deck and the gas tank on the left side next to the deck.

For temporary fix you can either get a tube of sand or a bag of reloading shot.

Cooler full of beer up front works too. Just don't drink it all!

Bag of sand from Lowe's or home depot.

Everyone says they don't work and kill performance but if done correctly pods could help you here. I have them on my boat and they really do help. I can step out of the boat, onto one of the pods and take a leak and never get my feet wet. Boat runs 20 with just me, I can't say they hurt performance any.

Also, my battery and tank are in the back of the boat with me.....

From what I understand that won't kill the performance on longtails, Def an option

I like the idea of pods but I don't like the looks of them!

It's not so much that pods won't help, it's that putting them on a boat that isn't built properly for the motor still isn't going to make that boat perform like one that is. And it won't add any value to the hull you have, probably take away from it in most cases. Your time and money is much better invested ditching the wrong hull and getting the right one.

I know everyone has spoke to this but weight placement is key on a small boat. Moving the battery and fuel cell to the bow can make significant changes in performance. It's all a balancing act. I moved my battery and fuel cell to the bow in my skiff. It performs like a different boat. Good luck with it.
