I have a 16x42 flat and wondering would a 2002 31hp mudbuddy surface drive do good on it? Ik the power would be there but what about weight? Has electric trim also. |

It'll do fine. Whats the brand, weight and thickness on the hull? It won't be a speed demon and will not carry a large load very well, but if you watch how you load it and position your gas tank and battery correctly it will get you where you need to go. |

Boat is a homemade flat all 1/8. What you mean won't carry a big load good or a speed demon? I normally travel me and 2 other people plus the gear for whatever we are doing |

I had a 31 with a stage one cam heads and carb and I would make a lot of people upset with stage one 35 I had a 1748... it will carry a good load might wanna do some upgrading and they will roll |
