 1748 or 1754?
I am looking at a new boat and need your advice. I can't decide between a 48 or 54" bottom. I have a 35 gtr and hunt 3 people most of the time and possible 4. If i hunt 4 the boat will only be used as transportation and not to hunt out of. I hunt tight timber as well as open water. My main concern is a 48" bottom with 4 guys.
Anyone have an estimate of speeds with a 48 vs a 54 with a 3-4 man load.
i would like to stick with a 48 for the timer as long as im not gonna lose too much speed.

If you stuck on 48 Id go 18x48. Thats what I have. A 54 will carry a load better if you're stuck on a 17 footer

Not really stuck on 17. That's just what I looked at at local dealer. I think you answered my question. I would rather an 18 ' if the performance is close.
