The cheapest ones I could find on eBay! 5 meters for a few dollars.

I went with the green strips from seelight. They are bright as crap inside, but when I look out if the boat it has me eyes kind of screwed up. I doubt red would do that. It may just be my old eyes.

Red hAs lil to no affect on eyes while driving also don't attract bugs. I like em

I just put some of the green $15 lights from amazon in. I don't have a catwalk so I just ran them on the top of the side rib or whatever it's called so that they would be angled down at least a little bit and not straight in my eyes. They turned out ok and very easy to install but we'll see how they hold up

Post subject:  Re: Led strip lights

I just ran them through the ribs and seats to keep it all one continuous strip and not have to solder a bunch of pieces together. a straightned out coat hanger and some electrical tape will pull it right through just be sure not to let it twist going behind the seat or its a pain in the a$$ to fix or redo

I have a few strips waiting at home for when my hull is done. Still contemplating how I'm going to attach under the combing/catwalks. They have the sticky backing but I'm not confident that they'll stick well. What do ya'll do to make them stick? Use a good quality double-sided tape or silicon adhesive maybe?

Waterproof I assume?

Post subject:  Re: Led strip lights

The package says waterproof but we will see how that holds up once they actually get wet, but they do have a fairly thick plastic cover around them that seems like it should keep water out. They can be cut every 3 lights but if you cut them to get power to the new strip i think you have to solder on new wires and for my use it didnt really seem worth the hassle and the chance that one of the wires comin off. They have a 3m sticky backing to them but I can't speak for how it is going to hold up

I think I ordered the same thing. Had to use silicone to help hold the lights up. The sticky back didn't hold very well.

Post subject:  Re: Led strip lights

You can buy little clips that have wires on it that press into the strip after you cut it. I also used the 600 count lights they are the same price with more bulbs. The 3m backing does not hold very well so I used some rtv all along after the strip fell in a few places. Also the clips are almost as expensive as the strips so I just ordered two strips and cut in the middle so I had 4 7.5 foot strips

This is the clips. This clips work with the 300 not the 600

Deez those red lights look good. do they mess with your eyes much runnin? and it looks like you got enough room to mount a stripper pole right in the middle of the boat and you'd really be on to somethin then :D

I ran my green for the first time few nights ago and they don't affect your night perception one bit.
