Was going to wait till I got it painted and rigged to post, but I've got to go out of town for a week with my full time job and I might not have it done for a couple more weeks now.

Here's the build.

1748 all 1/8" one piece hull, will be pushed by a stock 35 PD
5' front deck with dry storage
4" catwalks
trolling motor bracket
full weld in floor with notched in flush cross braces
split rear operator seats with storage.

Per the owners request it will be sporting a flat black paint job on the hull, with a flat tan on the interior surfaces. Hoping to have my company logo on this one, and this was also my first boat to stamp my own HIN number on. Ill get some more pictures up when complete.

Man that looks good!

Any reason why you don't brake your lids up instead of welding them?

Looks good jj. I like the little bit of flare of the sides at the bow to give it more curves in the catwalks. Looks secksy and curvayshus ;)

I like the way you make good use out of the back of the boat. Customized and unique. Very cool rig.

Capt, what machine you running and wire? Welds look really good. I'm debating on getting another miller but not sure. I do all my welding with the 3035 spoolmate on the Miller 210. Old machine but does just fine.

Well I finally got around to starting to finish up this boat. Got the paint finsihed, and more or less the rigging. Got to clean up the wiring on the transom, which I'll do this evening, and then just waiting on the trailer to finsih getting built. I did the paint how the owner wanted it, flat black hull with flat tan interior that he picked out. He told me just to split it or cut it where I wanted. I had my doubts about what the paint would look like like, but I think it came out pretty cool, it's definantly different. As soon as I get it finished and on the trailer I'll get a few more photos of it complete. Hope to maybe put it in the water and test run it this weekend.

2 tone looks dam good! But the tan could be a shade or 2 darker for me.

Good job JJ!

Post subject:  Re: 1748 Build. Test Run

Finished up on the rigging last week and was able to test run the boat by my house this weekend.

Boat rand great. Only thing I think I will need to fix is maybe cutting down the grab bar some, as it was a little high for my taste, but I'm going to wait till the owner trys it out.

Best is saw with it was 27.5 mph, this was with 2 200lbs men, 12 gallons and an ice chest in about 16" water. Ran it solo a couple of times, but did not GPS it, but it felt a little quicker.

Also ran it with same to guys, plus the wives and two toddlers, and saw 22.8MPH with that load. It got up on step with no trouble.

This was actually my first time running a PD, do these numbers sound about right?

Damn fine looking boat Capt. I wasn't sure about the two tone paint, but the more I look at it the more it seems to grow on me. :)

Again nice build bro............
