Are y'all clear coating KEM 400? I talked to Sherwin Williams and they said its not needed. I was wondering if the clear helps protect the paint from scratches or just a waste of money. |

I'll put it this way, I skipped doing clear coat on mine and wish I would have done it. Its tough paint but I have managed to scratch the hell out of it. But I'm not easy on stuff. |

Buddy of mine has it and his boat looks newer than my boat. His is well over a year old and min is about 2 weeks old. Doesn't hardly scratch and looks very clean. Sent from my beeper |

I didn't put clear on mine but my boat builder does clear over kem 400 and has no issues. I would recommend spraying clear |

I was looking at getting the 5 start xtreme flat. How much to do a 1744? It comes in a quart or gallon. |
