Just wondering if any of you guys have a GPS/ fish finder on your mud boat? I wanted to know where the best location for the transducer would be? I have a hummingbird 597 HD, going on my prodigy 1854 hull. Thanks for your help Sent from my LG-P870 using Tapatalk |

I have an Alumaducer it is epoxied down to the inside of your boat near the transom. Some of the other guys have mounts either off the shelf or custom made that you can raise up and down either welded or mounted to the outside of the transom, and some have them attached to the trolling motor. |

Yes sir mine works flawlessly. You have to prep the aluminum properly and make sure it is in a good spot and works at full speed and idle before you epoxy it down. |

I used the Kayak Ram Mount and have not had an issue... It's aluminum and if you hit something it will bend & not break... I pull it out of the water before taking off on plane. http://www.austinkayak.com/products/102 ... O9jDvw_wcB |

I guess my question is what's the problem with using the one that came with the system and just screwing that sucker into the stern and using a marine grade silicone on the screws? Sent from my LG-P870 using Tapatalk |

Icon, is that below flush of the boat? Does the water flow bend it back? Sent from my LG-P870 using Tapatalk |

It's a little below, you can cut and bend the aluminum rod to how you want. I do believe the water pushes it up a bit. I have noticed that it was working while under way, but now that I think of it, it wasn't last time I took boat out. I was just wanting something to flex if I hit something, so this fit the bill just fine. I was going to go with a mount that I could slide the transducer up and down, but knew I would remember to pick it up while underway. |

I don't always have my Troller down when finding fishing spots. In the river for example we find a spot while idling and then anchor, never even put the Troller down. |

I had my friend weld the adjustable bracket to my boat. Works good. I ordered it from Gator Trax. |

You could make a bracket that the transducer mounts to that you could just clamp to the back of the boat or just slip over the transom if you don't have a hunt deck. That way you can pull it up when your gonna be running in stumps or mud and veggies and not tear it up. I've been planning on doing this just haven't got around to it. |
