 Boat won't get on step
I have a WC 18x54 3/16 bottom 1/8 - 24" sides that runs about 24-25 with 2 people, 12 gallons of gas, trolling motor, and 2 batteries. When I put the light boxes with 10-80 watt seelites on the front deck it won't get up. Should it plane with the extra weight or am i stuck plowing water?
Stock 2014 36hp pd w/efi.

Re: Boat won't get on step
Not sure how heavy those lights are but I had a 120qt ice chest on my deck and a few more to the front of the boat and I stepped it in deep water. And mine runs about 25-26 with 2 people. 2048 w/ 3/16 bottom and 1/8 sides w/ stock GTR.

Sent you a text chuck
Brandon that's the difference between 18' and 20' and he has a 36 PD with EFI.
Plus all of the weight he described is at the front. At some point it's gotta be moved around regardless of the boat and motor bring used.
Take Terry's (DDM) dual rig for example. He has both tanks at the back and 3-4 batteries back to middle just for this reason.
