Batteries and Fuel Tank Under Front Deck?
I am planning out a build on an 1848 and am thinking about mounting a 12 gallon fuel tank and two batteries under the front deck. I'm wondering how the boat will run with all that weight forward when carrying a load. Would it be more likely to plow instead of planeing out?

Re: Batteries and Fuel Tank Under Front Deck?
I have an 1850, 12 gallon tank, 5 foot front deck, minn kota 55 riptide, and 2 batteries in the front seems to be ok, but I believe thats about all it can take. I gain a mph or so with one battery in the rear. It runs a little different with a full tank compared to being on the empty side. I have no complaint. I run 27-28 by myself with eveything in the front
