False floor made of .060 aluminum and horizontal bracing. I see a lot of Trackers and Lowe boats and the odd Excel with the seat pedestals on their false floor. 8 bolts hold them down - 3 of which would be bolted to a cross brace - are they strong enough to hold a seat base?? I'd hate to drill a few of these in and have them not support my weight while driving or hunting. Thoughts? |

Buzz, I'm not a fan at all of pedestal seats. Use movable seat bases. Get storage and the ability to move the seat/weight around. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Do people actually sit on those bases while in motion? Certainly seems like a good way to do a half gainer at takeoff. |

Save your money. I had mine installed at the factory and wished I wouldn't have. The pyramid shaped bases that are movable are the way to go. |

Mine had a total of three in the floor right down the middle when I bought it. They never got used and were the kind that had solid bottoms so they always had some sort of blood, water, trash, something in them. Plus, they're low profile but it's amazing how much they get in the way with coolers and such. I'm against them in any location other than the front deck if you like to fish. They were welded in, no screws/bolts... |

buzz id go with the movable bases like those^^ but if you do decide to put bases down.. cut out a square (1/8th alum.) 2-3 inches bigger than the pedestal base to give it more support..then bolt down through both |

They also double as a nice campfire chair take em any where. Put hydro turf on the bottom to give it some grip. The movable bases are the way to go when the boat is loaded with gear you can put the seat where ever it needs to be |
