I'm getting my gator tail in 3 weeks I hope. I was just curious what would everyone do to there boat before putting it in the water as far preventive maintenance? What does everyone pack as far as tools or things that you wouldn't leave the launch with? I'm getting an 1860 CC 35LS NAT CAMO with lights spud pole and fish finder.

Screw driver
Channel locks
Vice grips
Metric and standard wrenches and sockets
Electric tape. & duct tape
Tywraps

That's a good start.

I carry a small tool kit, spare fuses, a spare kill switch, extra drain plugs, zip ties, duct tape

I also put drops of silicone lube down the throttle cable and a dab of silicone plumber's grease at each end to keep moisture out and prevent freezing.

Get the governed idle spring if your motor doesn't come with one--mine kept stalling until I installed that (there's a thread on here about it that you can google "missing Springs" or something like that).
