I have a new 1854gtb extreme with stock 35gtr and 3blade prop. I have 2:44 hrs on it right now.
I am averaging 22mph with 600-700 pounds in the boat deep water with a slight chop. I have bumped 24mph.
Tach is reading 3500 rpm. I can trim up and hit 3900 but boat speed does not improve.
I can see where weight positioning makes a huge difference.
I was hoping to run 27-28mph with a 700 pound load.
I really do like the set up. great boat.

That's the new lower unit right?

Probably not since it's a 2014. Unless he specifically asked for it.

Your speeds sound about right. If you want to be able to run 27-28 mph in a 1854 with 3-4 people in the boat, then break out the check book.

You can have your heads and intake worked after 40 hours from JamieB for 775$, and then gut your exhaust, or buy a MAC exhaust for 550$.

That would be a good starting point, and might be able to step your hunting load.
