Moving battery away from fuel tank
Gents, I just got a new xpress 1652 that has the battery and fuel tank in a compartment together in the back of the boat. It makes me nervous so I want to move the battery forward.
1 is it really bad to leave the battery back there short term?
2 what guage and type wire do I need to run it to my 50hp outboard?

Re: Moving battery away from fuel tank
I've run mine like that for years. Get a battery box.

Re: Moving battery away from fuel tank
Our bay boat has 4 batteries sitting on top of an 80 gal fuel tank in a closed compartment
If you ever see a spark from your battery you need to check your connections
