 Building a boat question.
I'm very interested in my own build. Where's the best place to find the materials? I've seen where several people have said you can buy kits from different companies and piece them together an weld it up yourself. Are they FOS or what? I haven't been able to find anything like this, and materials seem scarce in my area. Any info regarding boat building and materials would be greatly appreciated. If you have built a boat recently what did you do for materials and what did tools did you use specifically to complete the job. Thanks alot.

 Re: Building a boat question.
Pierce aluminum is probably the best place. They are knowledgeable enough to get you pretty much everything you'll need and almost give you a "kit". You'll still have quite a bit to do on your own with tying ends together, cutting your rake, etc.
If you need something more, I would talk to one of the guys like Dfou or Duckhunterf250, maybe North LA hunter. They could probably set something a little more "kit" like for you (really, it would probably be more like "started" than "kit", but still), but of course you'd have to pay for the extra work..
