Like most non-gay men, I only see in 8 colors, which are the colors in the standard Crayola Crayon 8-pack: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, white and black. So help me out here.

Am I colorblind or does the Avery Realgrass in Early Season Green have a blue/turquoise color to it instead of green? I saw it on a guy's boat an it didn't look right, but there's no retail place around here that sells it. I'd like to know before I order.

Just want to make sure I'm not losing my mind and making extra work for myself by purchasing tan an spray painting it with an actual green color.

Thanks.

get the real fastgrass mats from LL bean and spray paint to match your cover as the season progresses. Mine starts off mostly green/light green with a little brown and slowly add more brown every week. the stuff holds up a lot better than the avery stuff

You need to add turquoise to your list if that's what you're seeing!! Just saying :D . Planning staying in the boat this year? Im going to build a blind also (a big one I guess) so let me know which way you go!

Man that raffia goes a long way and is fairly cheap. That's what I used on my boat blind. Its really tough also.

Use the big fast grass sheets as a base then add small chunks of raffia to break it up. This will ultimately get you the color you're after.

Anyone tried the quack grass?

I've used both the quack grass and the early season. The quack grass in my opinion is much better quality. I ordered the early season grass and was pleased with the color; didn't order enough so I had to order another box. Well the second box was that turquoise color you described. I had to spray paint the shit out of it to dull it up so it didn't look like a bright beacon in the marsh. Also, after a year of sitting indoors with few uses, it did not hold up well and is not very thick so it's easy to see through when on a boat blind.
