Not positive they are still going. Look into a Havoc hull. Same guy that designed the Edge hull. Havoc are fine looking boats from the few I've seen. Sent from my beeper |

Look Elsewhere! I have had an Edge they are Fast....but that's about it! My Edge was built when Tim was with Edge fit,Finish and bottom of boat was horrible, welds looked like a 8 year old done them! I wouldn't waste my time on a Havoc either! But that's just my opinion, The Builder/designer seems to company hop to much for me! Its going to be hard to get good credible info on a Havoc because he seems to have a big following of young-wanna go fast hunters in his back pocket that love everything he puts out! I now have an Excel and love it, not as fast as my Edge but close! When you load down the Edge you will loose lots of speed they are very particular with weight and here the havoc is the same. |

Do yourself a favor and look into Prodigy boats. Nothing but happy with mine and think others are as well. He can make em light and fast or tricked out with anything you'd ever want. |

Personally I have never driven a havoc . My cousin has one with a 40hp merc that has had some work done and its a damn fast boat. He claims 53 in it. Also have a buddy with an edge. Much more positive reviews on the edge boats but you have to get the right one. Both boats are sorta picky with weight but I think the newer edges are worse about it. There is a certain year model that you want if you get an edge but for the life of me i can't remember which years it was. They carried a load better. Then for some reason the design changed. Still decent boats if you just wanted to carry a decoy to a hole and run the boat races. Just not my style. |

My buddy has a 1548 or something close to that width, that he has been wanting to get rid of. Prodigy makes some might fine boats too |

He has an edge 1548 believe it's a 2011, but he hasn't even used it. Got him a lease in Arkansas and it sits at his mom's while he is in college. Has a brand new trailer. |

First post and oh what a ray of sunshine of a first post it will be. I bought a havoc recently because I got a pretty good deal on it and a few co-workers recommended them strongly. I will say that it's a sharp looking boat. It's pretty quick too (1553 pad, 25HP Etec, 2 guys, 6 gallons of fuel and fishing gear getting 28mph from the phone). I bought the pad hull because I saw myself running more open water than what I ended up running. It's still a 15ft Jon with 21" sides... Chop is zero fun even with the pad, but it does get rid of a lot of the slap. Most big water still sends me tucking tail though. Beyond that, this boat is INSANELY heavy for what it is. They quote 500 lbs for the hull alone and I'd bet it's more. The off-plane draft when the motor is trimmed down to any point without cavitation puts the prop at the best part of 2 feet. On step it's prolly close to a foot. It's also very stern-heavy. I've stuck the boat a few times and I've had to toe the bow with the push pole to get the bitch to float level. Not what I was expecting at all. Also the damn thing rattles like 80mph in a Geo. I've pulled everything out of it to see what's rattling and I have no idea what's doing it. Maybe a busted weld in the front deck or something. Real problems besides the rattling and the weight? Well the rivets in the floor are breaking pretty damn fast. The only thing holding most of them in is the non-skid (you can touch them with your finger and feel that they're loose under the coating). 3 of them have completely come loose with nice silver holes in the deck. Not beating on em, just walking over em. After reading what everyone been saying on here, I think I'll just live with em instead of trying to have any of it fixed. The hull seems fine though. No leaks or anything like that. I don't know what I expected out of the boat, but I know I'm not thrilled with it. I run a lot more shallow than I thought I would be doing and it's getting pretty old getting out and pushing the thing in 8" of water. Also, constantly worrying about tearing up the outboard on stumps and logs and mud and shit is making me turn grey. At this point I'm looking at mud rigs, and living with my mistake until I feel like I've suffered enough to never do it again (and let my funds rebound). Not trying to start anything. That's just my straight up review of the boat. |

Thx for your reply. I have a prodrive rig for shallow duties. Was just itching for a new boat to hang my 3cyl 25 on I guess. I may just keep the old Xpress and clean her up a little. She got a few hooks I need to get out,, ect.. |

I mean I'm in no way telling you to not buy a boat. I know guys run their hopped up Yammie, Zuke, and Tohatsu 3-cyl's on them and they boogie. I'm just sharing that the boat only really shines in deep, calm water. |

Get a hold of 1995 US1 over on the fuge. He has done a lot of testing on the Edge hulls and can give you the full story. Waco now owns them. |
