Post Motor for 1546 Mod-V
Just acquired an Alumacraft 1546 ModV for duck hunting and fishing...tried to get a boat that would do both and fit into my garage. I know this is not the best hull for a MM but what would be a good motor for this boat? Was thinking an 18HP copperhead. Would this boat need pods? Will be hunting east coast FL in marsh...more vegetation than stumps.

Thanks

I had a 27 mud buddy SD on that side boat and it did good. I'd go with a 23 or 27 SD.

If you're thinking copperhead go with the 23. Its 5lbs more and worth the extra money
