Not quite sure what motor I want yet, but I do want a 35 hp. Regardless, would a 35 hp be to much motor for a 1648? |

Not at all, I probably have one if the lightest boats made, 1648 weld bilt and I just got stage 1 done on my 35 gtr and I am happy with it. The boat may porpoise, I guess it depends on the hull but if so that is an easy fix. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk |

Thanks fellas, I was looking at a 1648 godevil boat and 35 GDSD.. And they said the 1648 was too small of a boat. |

Well when I called and talked to the grumby lady on the phone she said she wouldn't even sell me a 35 and she wasn't sure if she would sell me a 27 cause the boats rated for a 25hp from factory. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk |

Love my setup! I went from a 23 to a 35 and would do it again without hesitation. |

Running a 36 prodrive (at least 50 lbs heavier than go-devil) on a 16x48 tall transom alweld for 6 years now. No issues |

Thanks fellas. And Giga I've been looking at the 1848 also, but the only thing I feel like it being 2 foot longer the boat will cause problems when I run the timber. |
