I've decided to make a build thread for my boat, it isn't very much but it's what I've got so far. For being a sophomore in a Military College I think I've done a pretty decent job at making this boat my own. Any info is always helpful, and thanks for looking!

My uncle's, cousins, and close friends always had mud boats and mud motors, so when I finally had enough money saved up and a truck to pull it with I started looking for a mud boat of my own. Originally I had plans of buying a 16 foot war eagle hull and waiting until the summer came around and I had a job and had money to buy the motor with, like a two step deal. Lucky for me on the day I went to look at the War Eagle, a buddy of mine told me his boat was for sale with a stock 27pd on it. I went with him to look and test drive the boat, I was sold. I bought it from him the same day for a STEAL. All he needed was the Payoff from the bank on the boat, so thats what I gave him.

First day I picked it up.

Yes, It was a little beat up and rough around the edges, but then again I knew it wasn't going to be brand new for the price that I got it for. It's something to keep me busy and occupied, a work in progress.

First thing that had to be done was take a couple nice long rides and ditch the bent/broke blind it came with.

Even the old lady likes it. Ha! After finally getting out for school for the summer and starting to have more free time after work I've started to add things to make it more of my own.

My uncle helped me install an LED bar on the front and also interior lights in the boat. I also removed the trolling motor mount that was hanging on by a thread.

After that was finished I decided that the little 27 Kohler wasn't putting out enough juice and started saving up for a power head swap with a 36 Vanguard. Most people have seen my other thread during the swap and offered tips and advice, and thank y'all! Before long parts started showing up at our door. First an exhaust.

While waiting for the block to show up I sold the 27 to a friend and who came over and we swapped the head from my frame onto his.

I had a boat with no motor.

Finally the block and other various parts showed up from PD and once again my uncle and I set out to work.

FINALLY I had a motor, all that was left was wiring. (which took about 3 hours to figure out)

The break in process started. Got two oil changes in and ready to go.

After a couple of dumb decisions, long nights of gigging/bowfishing (and taking a spill with my phone and gun on my hip) I couldn't be more happier with how well the 36 pushes my boat. It does well and I'm very happy with it.

After playing around with it for a few months, i decided i needed more storage. I only have two compartments for storage, under the bow which is already full of life jackets, and under the rear box, which is home to my battery and wiring. I wanted a gun box added in and a couple rails on the front to grab on to, so i got in contact with a guy close to my house who does some good fab work and dropped my boat off right before I went back to school for the year. The box and rails came out pretty good I think!

I've still got to paint over the aluminum and everything else but I don't really have much time right now being at school and what not. This is my build so far, and like I said it's a work in progress in between breaks and when I have some spare cash around that I can donate towards my "Boat Fund." Like I said earlier, thanks for looking and any input is fine with me!

Future additions
Repaint
Add a stage 1 on the motor (after it get's seasoned of course)
Possibly a spud kit
Hydroturf all flat surfaces
Re-Gator Glide bottom
Fix the switch panel bracket
Add a secondary trim switch
Trade Bunk carpet for better alternative
Add reverse lights to trailer (in process)
Possibly add manual or hyrdo reverse
I sound like a broken record on here but i love my '05 seminole extreme. Bought it with 14hrs and 1 scratch in '06. 31 gd longtail. Started like this with 3 box seats and a gun box.

Started like this.

A few years later after paint, removal of seat boxes, gun box. Added a railing, and hps lights, 1 big center box, surface drive and bimini.

Rip that carpet out you will lose a lot of extra weight and every ounce is more speed with these boats

Last week I took it out for a spin with a buddy from school and it was a beautiful day. When I got home I was unhooking and checking everything like always and noticed my switch box was sagging a little so I decided to go check it out. Well, the plastic ears on the sides must have had their better days and broke off the sides. So it looks like I have a new project sooner than I planned. Thought about just drilling directly through the box to remount it. But I'll probably just relocate it to the box I sit on. I like what you've done, I have a 2000 sea ark that i had a 40 hp yamaha on it and got a GTR 35 when I got back from overseas. This sea ark isn't holding up at all with the new motore. Put 2 holes in it and the bottom looks like a big golf ball

Well, I think I'm gonna put the boat up for sale. I love this boat, but i really wanna try to go in a different direction than when I bought this boat. Really wanting to find a 3 man Gator hide.

Heres the link to it on my local Craigslist.
