Post 1648 GRIZZLY WITH A MUDBUDDY STAGE 1
Has anyone ran a surface drive on a grizzly boat or anything similar. Ive come across a deal where i can get a boat that has a little bit of damage from a car wreck for free and found a killer deal on a motor from a friend after this season. Just wanting to know if anyone has ever tried a setup like this,. Ill be putting the mud buddy hd 35 with a stage one kit on it. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Ran one exactly like that for 4 years with the same mods. It will work fine but make sure you load battery and gas tank up front as far as you can get it. If you don't you will take water over the back if you have to let off the throttle quickly. Mine ran about 28 mph with two guys lite load. When I loaded it up with several dozen decoys and 3 guys, dog and late season gear etc. it was a dog. Took 3 times the distance to plane out.
