Post high and dry on sandbar--easiest way off?
20140707_135738.jpgI am a tournament fisherman with a sea ark 18 foot tunnel hull / 75 Etec / hydraulic jackplate
i fish a shallow sandy river with changing water level and sand bars
unfortunately I have been stuck twice where it took over 4 hours to dig and push out
last time my fishing partner yelled at me for 2 of the 4 hours and I missed my weigh in
i admit to running too fast but i have to do that to get over the skinny water to where the fish are
cant afford a new boat

anyone have suggestions for a self contained, portable, 1 man system to pull a beached boat across a sandbar with 1-2" of water on it

You have trees on both banks, so just get a winch, a couple hundred foot of winch strap, and a couple snatch blocks.

Winch and gator glide... Won't be much you can't get off of then.

Could keep a handful of Pvc sticks in the boat to roll on.

If you have long distances to deep water pvc pipes and a winch are your freinds.

Get out. Put PVC pipes down first (longways) and then hit it wide open.

I've never seen gator glide or frog spit slide on sand period everything even Teflon will stick to sand

winch with spud pole mount. That why you can winch forward or backwards.

Coatings help - but rocks, oysters, and sand cause them to peel away
so they need regular touch ups from time to time... Even with coatings
once you stop the pvc is the best trick to get back to deeper water....

Winch, pvc, gatorglide. Bottom coatings don't do nothing on sand but they will make pushing on the pvc much easier.
