I'm in the market for a boat that does more than just duck hunt. I do a lot of bass fishing from Feb to the fall. I like this size hull but am curious as to why we don't see more of them around. This boat would be used in pretty much all conditions... Anybody see why not???? |

Surface drive... GoDevil always tells folks their 1660 is their fastest hull, and an 1860 is generally thought of to be a "tank" would one foot in the middle be some sort of middle ground?? I think a short sided 1760 would make a good all around rig, what am I missing? |

I drove an 1848 PD and stood on the deck in deep water... No thanks. Too narrow. Narrowest Id like is a 52" bottom for my purposes. I like to fish off the deck (gear, rod/reels etc) I'm not a little dude (6ft, 250) I'm a clumsy fucker |

Yeah. If it runs 28 instead of 30, I could care less.... No way I could do a poling platform. It would get drug off in the trees lol |

I have a 1760 outboard rig. Its nice, very very stable. I bought mine used so I didn't really get to pick the exact size but if I was building a boat id build a 19x50-54 in hopes that itd ride a lil better and fit in some narrower sloughs. Mine rides pretty rough, but overall im happy with it. Lots of room, can haul a ton of weight, etc. |

Why don't you look at getting an 18/60 that's what I'm leaning towards |

18' boat is generally the sweet spot for load carrying and performance. The wider the hull, you may consider a longer outdrive if that's an option (i.e. GatorTrax will recommend a 32" drive over a 27" to increase performance for their GatorHides which are very wide). Shorter wide boat will be stable, but you sacrifice performance, that's probably why you don't see as many of them. |

I have a 1760 and love it. I hunt, fish, swim, jump beaver dams, and water ski with this rig. Great size. |

my 1854 is plenty wide very stable up front i would get an extended deck for fishin my rear folding deck is nice for passanger fishing deck just fyi if ur coming from a bass boat you will be dissappointed these will never compare to one as far as stability when fishing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have fished out of bass boats primarily but years ago all we had were small aluminum rigs. I'm aware it won't be quite as stable but that's ok too. As long as two can fish from the front deck without knocking each other off that's good with me. I've settled on an 1860 for an all around boat. There are a few little trails I won't get down as easily but I'm ok with the trade-off honestly. |
